The Bible talks about envy. It says that "ENVY IS LIKE ROTTENNESS TO THE BONES" (Proverbs 14:30).
Envy will EAT YOUR LUNCH...and more!!!
The Lord wants us to be secure in what he has and has done in each of us. we are all special to him in our own way.
Think about this for a minute. If your friends have lost more weight than you, or they have more opportunities than you, does that make them more special to GOD? Absolutely not.
Let's don't get wrapped up in man's approval, but only God's.
Also (And by HIS grace), let's be happy for our friends when they achieve their goals.
What goes around comes around, and we ALWAYS reap what we sow!!

Being a giver
I think we can be a giver in many ways. Yes we can give money, our time, talents and many other things.
Have we given much thought that our lives can be a gift? When we go to a restaurant, do we show kindness to the waiter/waitress, or are we grumpy? When we go to the store, whether a grocery, harware, or any other place of buisness, are we nice and show a smile, or are we showing our "true feelings"?
Remember, the world is watching us, whether we like it or not. Let's all show the "TRUE" Father's love out there in a wicked and cruel world.

Ministry Opportunities April 30,2009
How do we define Ministry? Is it just standing behind a Clear plexiglass pulpit with a headset,
and wearing the latest clothing styles?
Is it someone with an acoustic guitar, with the latest haircut, and facial hair style, singing the lastest Chris Tomlin song????
That COULD be ministry, but sometimes may not be. It depends on your heart condition.
Let's face it, we can be quirky when we define ministry. I think that true ministry is being where Jesus said to be at that paticular time, and saying just what Jesus told us to say.
So, when we feel that what we do, or how we're saying it may be less "honorable" and "Flashy', than some of the "Well Known" Christian counterparts, think again.
JUST OBEY JESUS, THAT'S ALL HE WANTS!!!!

What do you think Jesus looks like? Sunday, April 26,2009
Well, what DO YOU THINK????
Does he look like your favorite painting of him in the garden of Gethsemene, or holding a lamb?
Did HE have blonde hair and blue eyes? Was HE white? Perfect skin, as handsome as the most famous Male movie star?
OR, do you think HE looks like the child on T.V. that you see on those commercials with the sad eyes and bloated bellies?
In reality, I think our LORD was dark skinned, dark eyed, VERY middle Eastern.
But really, the physical appearance really doesn't matter!!!! What really matters, is are we
treating and Loving HIM by treating "The Least of These my Bretheren", with Love and respect by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, giving cups of cold water to the thirsty,
and MOST OF ALL ministering to them The Gospel of JESUS CHRIST, which is the highpoint of this little message.
If we are going to please The Lord, we must heed to His Gospel. We must forget about self promotion, self indulgence, and walk a plain straight path.
I heard a brother at church share this morning about this, and I was convicted. Believe me, I am preaching to ME more than to anyone who reads this message.
I personally am going to stop thinking about all the "Fluff", in life and concentrate on what matters most........Winning the world for JESUS.

How do you smell? Saturday, April 25,2009
HOW DO YOU SMELL????
That may sound pretty funny, but it is something you should think about.
No, I'm not talking about the physical smell of perfumes, colognes, or deodorants.
I'm talking about the Spiritual fragrance we are portraying to others.
Do we smell like the world with the fragrance of pride, hatred, violence,anger, and division?
Do we stink just like the smell of burning flesh???
OR, do we have the sweet fragrance of Jesus in our lives coming forth with humility,love,
gentleness and unity?
Just something to think about.......AND TAKE CARE OF!!!!!

Created to Worship....What????
I believe our Father God has put it in the heart of every man the need and desire to worship.
Men may worship money,sex,fame, and status in life, only coming to the conclusion that there
is no lasting satisfaction and fulfillment in it.
As a musician, I see many musicians, worshipping other musicians and also desiring for others to worship them. It's only when one comes to the saving knowledge of The Lord Jesus Christ is when true satisfaction and fulfillment comes.
then, you realize why you were created....CREATED TO WORSHIP HIM!!!!

The Bible says: "Enter his Gates with Thanksgiving, and his Courts with Praise".
When we do that, it pleases the Lord. He desires our fellowship. He wants to know us.
As we open our hearts to The Lord in worship,we open up our whole being to The Lord.
